Healthy Baked Sausage
This healthy baked sausage recipe is one that will have you hooked! It’s super easy to make and I love that you can add any type of vegetable to it and it will taste amazing! I typically like to add onions, peppers, and sometimes green beans! Here is what you will need:
Ingredients:
- Italian Chicken Sausage
- 1 onion cut into 1 inch chunks
- bell peppers
- 2 cloves of garlic
- green beans
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- oregano or Italian herb blend
- any other veggie that you want 😉
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Drizzle some olive oil on the bottom of a large baking dish/casserole dish.
- Mince or finely chop the garlic and cut up the onion and peppers and place in the baking dish along with fresh or frozen green beans. Drizzle a little more olive oil on top and toss the veggies in it.
- Cut sausage links into 1 inch pieces and mixed with the veggies.
- Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the sausage is cooked through and veggies are tender.
Let cool slightly and serve with a baked sweet potato topped with a little bit of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, and white rice on the side! Soooo delicious!
