4 Tips For Clear, Healthy Skin

Today I wanted to share with you a few of my rips for clear, healthy skin. Since giving birth to my daughter 1 year ago, my skin has gone through so many stages and I’ve gone through the ups and downs of breakouts so much this past year. In the last few months I have found some things that have really helped me, so I thought I would share them for those of you who may be struggling with acne as well! Of course the first one is a no brainer:

1. Water, water, water!!

I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin when I drink plenty of water, but its probably the thing I struggle with the most. I tend to drink more if I fill a big bottle in the morning that I can keep with me and drink throughout the day. If you’re struggling with breakouts, try boosting your water intake!

2. Eating Healthy

Your diet definitely plays a big part in the health of your skin. My skin tends to break out more when I eat a lot of sugar or drink soda. I try to incorporate lots of fruit and veggies, along with drinking green tea with organic honey. I truly feel that green tea is a lifesaver when it comes to your skin!!

3. Exfoliate Regularly

I started exfoliating my face about 3 times per week and my skin is so much softer. I normally use St. Ives Rise & Energize Coconut & Coffee scrub, but if I run out, some coconut oil and coffee grounds will work just as well, or you can even mix the coffee grounds with your cleanser! Your skin will be super smooth after using this!! (Look below for the link for the face scrub.)

4. Gentle Cleansers

I used to use medicated cleansers specifically for acne, and while they may work for some, I’ve noticed that the more plain, gentle, or all natural cleansers actually work better for keeping my skin more clear. I normally use Biore Blue Agave and Baking Soda cleanser or a cleanser from the Alba line.
